Quick notes for guests paddling with Mountain Home:

  • We need a minimum of 12- hour notice that you are attending a practice so we can account for you when setting the boats. This will also alert the coaches so they can look for you.
  • We ask that you wear a pfd (life vest) for your first practice with us for your safety. We have a few available at the boat house but bring your own if you have one. During the winter, we encourage everyone to wear pfds at every practice – the water is cold and can be dangerous.
  • We have plenty of extra paddles for you to use if you don't have one.
  • Dress for the weather, it gets wet out there! If you have any questions about what to wear, ask the New Paddler Contact
  • There is plenty of parking but note that the gate may be closed. Please contact the New Paddler Contact prior to practice for the gate code.
  • Avoid leaving valuables in your car, there have been thefts in the parking lot. Our boat house is secure, or you can put your items in a small dry bag and bring with you on the canoe.
